Meet the founders
Aspilon was founded by Matthias De Potter, who grew up with a visible birthmark and understands firsthand how frustrating it can be to find makeup that truly covers without feeling heavy. His mission is simple: give you the choice of how you show up, with confidence and on your terms.
Together with Dr. Barbara Geusens, a bio-engineer with a PhD in dermatology and over 20 years of experience in advanced skincare formulation, Aspilon was built at the intersection of skincare and high-performance coverage.
The result is a new generation of complexion products that deliver buildable, full coverage while actively supporting your skin. Our formulas are designed to feel weightless, look natural, and help protect your skin. So coverage never comes at the cost of skin health.
I started Aspilon because the option I needed at thirteen didn't exist at twenty-three either.

Why Aspilon?
Growing up, I never found makeup that truly worked for me. I was born with a port-wine stain, and for years that meant two choices: leave it visible and face the stares, or spend hours applying heavy, pore-clogging foundation that felt uncomfortable on the skin.
Most complexion products are built for the beauty industry, not for people living with visible skin differences. I didn't want to hide who I was. I just didn't want to be defined by it.
Together with Dr. Barbara Geusens, a bio-engineer with a PhD in dermatology, we created Aspilon from the ground up. Combining advanced skincare science with high-performance coverage, we set out to develop foundation and CC cream formulas that deliver real, buildable coverage without compromising skin health.
In-house production
All Aspilon formulations are developed and produced in our own facilities in Belgium, under the direct supervision of our scientific team. This allows us to maintain full control over quality, safety and performance.
