1
A pink area and a deeper purple area may need different amounts of coverage. Results depend on the birthmark, shade match and application.
2
Match Foundation to the surrounding complexion rather than the colour of the birthmark. Check the blend in natural daylight.
3
Makeup can soften the visible colour difference, but it cannot guarantee complete concealment or make raised texture disappear.
Our approach
Aspilon was founded by Matthias De Potter, who was born with a port-wine stain. Our Foundation offers buildable medium-to-full coverage for visible skin differences. Start with Foundation for deeper discolouration. CC Cream is an optional first step for visible redness, not a guaranteed correction for purple tones.
1
Step one
Apply to intact skin after your usual skincare has settled. Choose the Foundation shade closest to the surrounding complexion.
2
Step two
Press a small amount of Foundation onto the area with a damp sponge or brush. Blend outwards at the edges without repeatedly rubbing.
3
Step three
Add thin layers only where you want more coverage. After laser treatment, follow your treating clinician's advice on when to resume makeup.
